Shaune D. Ralph, M.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.

Ms. Shaune D. Ralph earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1986 at The Pennsylvania State University.  Her emphasis of study was Genetics and Developmental Biology.  She also completed a minor in Business and Liberal Arts.

After graduation, Shaune moved to the Boston area where she worked in the biotechnology industry for twelve years.  During that time, she was employed as research assistant at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brandeis University, and later managed a chemistry laboratory for a major pharmaceutical corporation, Eli Lilly and Company.

In 1997, Shaune completed her Master of Acupuncture degree at the New England School of Acupuncture with a specialization in Japanese acupuncture styles.  She is currently licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts, and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  

Ms Ralph was invited back to the New England School of Acupuncture as a teaching assistant in 1998.  In 2004, she was hired as one of only a few full-time instructors.   Over the next four years, Shaune taught, primarily in the Japanese acupuncture department, both as a classroom instructor and a clinical supervisor.  She served as Faculty Chair for three years, led continuing education seminars, and guest lectured at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Ms Ralph completed post-graduate programs in Chinese Herbology, Homeopathy, and Craniosacral Therapy..  She maintained a private practice in the North Shore area of Massachusetts for eleven years while teaching and pursuing these additional courses of study.

Ms Ralph left New England in 2008 and served for one year as the Dean of the School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at a New York college before returning to her home state of Pennsylvania.  Shecurrently has a full-time private practice providing acupuncture services to the residents of McKean county and surrounding areas.  

In November 2010, Ms Ralph travelled to Tokyo to sit for her teacher certification examination in Shaku Ju, or Acupuncture Core Therapy.   She is one of only six certified Shaku Ju instructors in the U.S.  Shaune maintains membership in the Shaku Ju Association of North America and Shaku Ju Kai of Japan, as well as the Association for Professional Acupuncture in Pennsylvania.

Ms Ralph was affiliated for two years with Ongiara College of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Fort Erie, Ontario as an advisor for the College’s Japanese acupuncture program.
